India: Punjab-based mill books sponge iron from Odisha

A Mandi Gobindgarh-based mill has booked about 2,500 t of iron ore lump-based sponge iron (C-DRI), FeM 80%, mixed material, from a plant at Jajpur in Odisha, sources informed SteelMint. The deal has been reported at INR 29,800/t, exw, equivalent to INR 33,000/t, FoR Mandi Gobindgarh, on advance payment terms. Meanwhile, spot trades of FeM 80% C-DRI lumps in Mandi are taking place at around INR 33,500/t.
