India: Production of SECL’s Dipka mine falls 16% y-o-y

The Dipka mine of South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL) has managed a coal production of 9.8 mnt in FY23 (up to 25 Sep’22), registering a fall of 16% y-o-y. In contrast, SECL’s Gevra and Kusmunda mines produced 21 mnt and 13.7 mnt in the period, up 31% and 29% y-o-y respectively. These mega mines have set production target of 135 mnt for FY23, which is 75% of SECL’s target.
