Steel major SAIL’s pig iron auction for 2,000 t (basic grade) material from ISP, Burnpur on 26 Dec ’20 was booked at INR 34,850 /t (ex-works). Bids increased by INR 1,850/t ($25) compared to the previous auction on 16 Dec ’20. SAIL’s pig iron auctions are garnering active response in all plants. Steel grade pig iron prices are assessed by SteelMint at INR 35,400/t (DAP Durgapur).
