The Ministry of Power has invited suggestions to trash out a comprehensive policy on energy storage in the power sector. The policy would focus on regulatory, financial, demand management and technological aspects for implementation of storage capacity in order to increase flexibility in the power system. The initiative will help to integrate large-scale renewable energy, thereby minimising the deficit in electric supply.
