Portside prices of US 6900 kcal/kg NAR grade coal were assessed at INR 21,300/t at Kandla today amid lackluster trade. Demand for US coal has fallen sharply in India as brick kiln and cement makers who are the major buyers of this grade have shifted to using high-CV Russian supplies.
