Portside prices of South African thermal coal have remained under pressure. RB2 (5500 GAR) and RB3 (4800 GAR) coal prices were assessed at INR 9,400/t and INR 7,600/t ex-Gangavaram, respectively. Prices of fewer grades decreased by INR 200/t since the beginning of this week. The buying pattern continues to remain subdued on low demand and falling sponge iron offers.
