India’s portside prices of South African thermal coal registered a decline of INR 50-100/t this week. RB2 (5500 NAR) dropped to INR 9,150/t, while RB3 (4800 NAR) decreased to INR 7,600/t, both ex-Gangavaram. Weak demand and falling sponge prices continued to weigh on market sentiments. Notably, BigMint captured deals for 5,000 t of RB2 and RB3 each, at INR 8,900/t and INR 7,400/t, respectively.
