South African RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal is being offered at INR 14,200/t at Vizag Port for mid-September arrival vessel amid rising demand for other-origin by Indian sponge iron industry. These levels are lower by INR 600/t from the current prices. Several small-scale DRI units continue to make small-parcel bookings of South African coal.
