India: Portside South African RB2 coal sold at INR 17,000/t at Vizag Port

In two confirmed deals, 1,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal was sold at INR 17,000/t at Vizag Port and 2,000 t of RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) was sold at INR 14,500/t. Demand for RB3 coal exceeds RB2 as domestic steel demand continue to remain under pressure and sponge iron manufacturers are preferring to use the blend of the two.
