In separate deals concluded today, a total of 24,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) grade coal was sold at an average price of INR 10,000/t at Gangavaram port. Portside RB2 prices have declined by INR 2,300/t since 25 Nov’21. This fall is in tandem with the $28/t, w-o-w, decline in imported RB1 (6000 NAR) grade coal prices which are currently assessed at $130/t FOB.
