A deal for 2,000 t of U.S. 6900 NAR grade thermal coal was heard concluded at INR 15,600/t ex-Kandla, unchanged since last week. The material is being offered between INR 15,200-15,800/t depending on how recent the vessel has arrived at the port. Demand for U.S. coal has turned sluggish as demand from the domestic cement sector remains subdued.
