Portside Indonesian thermal coal prices in India declined by INR 100-200/t w-o-w across lower to higher grades, primarily in anticipation of the upcoming 18% GST applicable from 22 Sep’25, sources said. Prices of 3400 GAR material were heard in the range of INR 4,200-4,300/t. Sellers actively sought to liquidate inventories to mitigate potential cess-related losses, leading to downward price adjustments across the market.
