The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) may once again consider granting an extension to 185 city gas distribution (CGD) projects hit by the second wave of Covid-19. PNGRB had extended the timeframe for CGD projects in Nov ’20 after licensees declared force majeure and sought extension citing national and local lockdowns. With restrictions in mobility of men and material in place, the extension would help avoid penalties for missing the minimum work programme commitments companies made during licensing bids.
