An eastern India-based mill has concluded an export tender for 25,000 t of steel grade pig iron for May 2022 shipment, market sources informed SteelMint. The tender was concluded at around $835-840/t on FOB basis. Indian pig iron export prices rose significantly by around $20/t w-o-w compared to the last week. Global coking coal prices have strengthened by $80/t w-o-w.
