Amid supply disruption from Russia, Peru-origin anthracite coal fines demand has received a boost with prices of 80% FC, 0-10mm size fines currently assessed at INR 28,000/t ex-Vizag port. Demand for domestic coke fines has also jumped as the price for 70% FC, 0-12mm material in the traders’ market is being heard at INR 13,000-15,000/t on delivered to plant basis in eastern India. The price for similar grade material was INR 9,800-10,000/t before the Russia-Ukraine war.
