Pellet (Fe63%) prices in Bellary, Karnataka remained stable at INR 10,000/t exw on 9 Jul’24 compared to 5 Jul with around 22,000 t of deals. Buyers booked on need basis from the merchant plants and NMDC’s auction. In NMDC’s auction on 6 Jul’24, 29,000 t pellets got booked at INR 9,200/t ex-pellet plant (FOT) basis. Meanwhile, sponge iron (P-DRI) prices dipped by INR 600/t w-o-w to INR 26,000/t exw today.
