HR strip (patra) prices dropped by INR 1,000/t ($13/t) in Mandi and by INR 600/t ($8/t) in Raipur on 9 May’22 because of weak demand in the domestic market. The current base grade patra (148-200mm, 2mm thick) prices stand at INR 60,000/t ($775/t) exw-Mandi and INR 59,500/t ($768/t) exw-Raipur, excluding GST at 18%.
