India: Over 75,000 t of iron ore sold in SMIORE’s auction from Karnataka

SMIORE conducted an auction for 172,000 t of iron ore from Karnataka on 13 Apr’24.

  • 18,000 t of lumps (5-20 mm, Fe 55-56.1%) and 6,000 t of lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 56.4-57.1%) were booked at base prices of INR 4,430-4,850/t and INR 4,220-4,370/t.
  • 4,000 t of lumps (20-40 mm, Fe 56.6%) were booked at INR 4,770/t.
  • 50,000 t fines (Fe 56.5-56.6%) were booked at base price of INR 3,480-3,490/t (including royalty, DMF and NMET).
