India: Over 20,000 t of iron ore to be auctioned from Karnataka

Karnataka is set to see 2 iron ore auctions from Vedanta and R Praveen Chandra over 10-12 Sep, cumulatively offering 23,550 t from the companies’ respective Chitradurga mines.

• Vedanta (10 Sep): 12,000-t lumps (6-40 mm, Fe 52.75-57.5%).
• R Praveen Chandra (12 Sep): 11,550-t lumps (6-30 mm, Fe 57.5%). Floor prices were set at INR 5,500/t.

Prices are inclusive of royalty, DMF, and NMEDT for R Praveen Chandra, whereas Vedanta’s exclude these charges.
