The Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) has conducted an auction for 19,820 t of iron ore tailings (Fe 61.06%- indicative) from its Barsua mines in Odisha on 10 Apr’24. According to sources, the entire quantity got booked at INR 4,750/t against the base price of INR 3,800/t. Prices are on ex-mines basis and include royalty, DMF, NMET, and extra premium.
