The Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) conducted an auction for 19,000 t of iron ore tailings (Fe 60.26%) from its Barsua mines in Odisha on 20 Feb’25. According to sources, the entire quantity was booked at INR 4,050/t against the base price of INR 3,950/t. Prices are on ex-mines basis and include royalty, DMF, NMET, and extra premium.
