Odisha’s leading miner Orissa Mining Corp (OMC) conducted an auction on 12th Mar’21 for around 1.25 mn t seized iron ore from mines like Kasia, Jaribahal etc. Nearly 0.182 mn t ore was booked, sources reported to SteelMint. The iron ore put to auction consisted of average grade in the range Fe 62.68-65.83%. Majority of the lots received flat bids, however few lots received bids higher by upto INR 450/t over the set base price.
