Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has put forward two e-auctions for Friable Chrome ore & Chrome Concentrate on 26 Dec, 2014 for both inside-state & outside-state buyers.
MSTC on the behalf of OMC, will conduct a national e-auction for 16,800 MT Chrome ore and 1,300 MT Chrome Concentrate on 26 Dec, 2014. The material is lying at South Kaliapani Chromite Mines & COB Plant Kaliapani, Odisha respectively.
Bidders have to quote for basic price in INR per MT, which will be inclusive of royalty and exclusive of Cess and statutory duties & levies. Also, the minimum quantity to be quoted is 100 MT and in multiples of it.

Submission of bid is valid till 24 Dec, 2014 at 16.00 hrs and the auction will commence on 26 Dec, 2014 at 10.00 hrs.
Note:
- OMC had conducted an e-auction for 13,500 MT Chrome ore including 1,000 MT of Concentrate for across India on 17 Nov, 2014. The quota reserved for the inside-state buyers was not auctioned in view of the government’s plan to supply inside-state buyers (Ferro chrome units) on long-term basis.
- Also, another auction was conducted for only 6,715 MT Friable Chrome on 21 Nov, 2104.
