State-owned chrome ore miner OMC’s auction today from its South Kaliapani chromite mines in Odisha received favourable response. Although the entire quantity of over 35,000 t wasn’t booked in the auction, the high-grade lots received bids higher than the reserve price. Domestic ferro chrome prices have increased to INR 100,000/t as demand has picked up in China.
