Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) is all set to conduct its 60th auction for Chrome ore on 28-May-2020. The details of the forthcoming auctions are as shown below:
1. OMC increased the base prices of various grades of Chrome Ore (Friable) by 16% M-o-M for May auctions.
2. The total quantity offered for the auction is 140,500 MT, out of which, 120,400 MT is from South Kaliapani Mines and the remaining is from Sukrangi Chromite Mines.
3. Chrome ore lessees without Long Term Linkage (LTL) sales agreement with OMC are not eligible to participate in the National e-auction for purchase of chrome ore and chrome concentrate.
4. Any Ferro Chrome Units/ Steel Plant having Ferro Chrome Units (without Chromite Mining lease) & Odisha based Chrome Ore Beneficiation (COB) Plants are eligible to participate for Chrome Ore fines of (-)40% Cr203 Grade (Subgrade Chrome ore Fines).
5. The price per WMT offered by the successful bidders at the time of e-auction includes royalty, District Mineral Fund (DMF) charges, National Mineral Exploration Trust Fund (NMETF) charges & weighment charges and is on ex-mines/plot. Royalty (which is included in price), DMF & NMETF charges shall be borne by OMC. Taxes and duties are applicable extra.
6. The minimum quantity for the bid from both the mines is 100 MT and thereafter in multiples of 100 MT.
