State PSU miner Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has fixed an auction for 35,100 t of chrome ore on 30 Jul’21. The base price for the auction is yet to be declared. However, SteelMint believes the base price should edge up by around 10% in line with the surge in ferro chrome prices. Currently, ferro chrome is trading at INR 122,000/t ex-Jajpur, up by INR 20,000/t m-o-m.
