Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government owned miner OMC had invited a tender for the April quarter for sale of different grades of sized iron ore from its different mines at Barbil, Gandhamardan & Daitari region in Keonjhar District and Koira region in Sundargarh District.
It received mixed response for its ore, at some mines bids wept up as high as Rs 300-1000, where as others it moved as low as Rs 500-1100.
Results :
Barbil 10-40 mm 62%= Rs 3,801/t ( Maheswari Minerals)
Gandhmardhan 10-40mm 62%= Rs 3,801/t
Koira 10-40mm 62%= Rs 5,050/t (Monnet Ispat)
Koira 5-18mm 65% = Rs 6,200/t (Prakash Industries)
Daitari 10-40mm 62% = Rs 2,869/t (Reliable Sponge)
A total of 75,000 tons of sized iron ore of 62 and 65 grades are on offer and out of this, 5,000 tons of 62 grade iron ore is from Barbil region, 10,000 tons of 62 grade from Gandhamardan region, 40,000 tons of 62 grade and 5,000 tons of 65 grade is from Koira region.
On the other hand, 15,000 tons of 62 grade sized iron ore from Daitari region is on offer for sale.
Bidders with own sponge iron, pig iron and steel plants can participate in the tender.
