Major merchant chrome ore miner, Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC), has scheduled an auction for 35,100 t of chrome ore lumps on 30 Jul’21, as per sources. The base prices of various grades of chrome ore to be auctioned have been set higher by up to 8.72% on a monthly basis. The increases in base prices for the auction come on the back of rising domestic ferro chrome prices. Currently, ferro chrome prices are hovering at INR 122,000/t ex-Jajpur, higher by INR 20,000/t m-o-m.
