MSTC on behalf of Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) is to auction 61,000 MT Friable and 5,000 MT Chrome Concentrate on 18 Jul, 2014.
MSTC will conduct an e-auction for sale of 61,000 MT friable Chrome ore and 5,000 MT Chrome ore concentrate on 18 Jul, 2014.
Out of the 61,000 friable Chrome ore, 42,700 MT has been earmarked for the Odisha based industries and rest 18,300 MT has been reserved for the outsiders. Out of the quantity (42,700 MT) reserved for the Odisha based units, 8,400 MT are of +54 grade and 17,200 MT of 52-54 grade. Similarly, from the 18,300 MT of outside quota, 3,600 MT are +54 grade and 7,300 MT are of 52-54 grade.
Meanwhile, only 5,000 MT of Concentrate ore is available this time, which is open for both the inside & outside state buyers.

In the last OMC’s Chrome ore e-auction held on 18 Jun 2014, prices had increased across all grades. Total quantity on offer was 65,000 MT.
