State-owned miner OMC has raised base prices for its chrome ore auction on 16 Mar’22 by 19% compared to the previous auction on 17 Feb. Base prices for the auction have been increased primarily due to the 28% m-o-m rise in domestic ferro chrome prices. The auction is for 48,000 t of regular grade and 50,000 t of sub-grade ore. Current prices of ferro chrome are at INR 134,500/t exw Jajpur, Odisha.
