INDIA: OMC fetch mixed response for its iron ore fines tender

The Odisha government controlled miner Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) had invited tender for sale of 1,43,200 tons of iron ore fines grad varying from 54% to 64%, available at its various mines at Barbil, Gandhamardan and Daitari Sector in Keonjhar District and Koira sector in the Sundargarh District during the period from May to July 2013 has fetched higher bids compared to last auction.

Prices have moved up by 400-800/t in most of the mines, whereas, some mines also fetched bids lower by Rs 300-700/t than previous tender.

Current bids for 60-62% Fe Barbil iron fines stands at Rs 1,714/t (previous Rs 1,370/t), whereas, Gandhamardhan fines fetched Rs 2060/t (Previous Rs 1151/t) for Fe 60-62%.

Bids went down for Koira and Daitari sector by Rs 300-700 per ton.
