Bhubaneswar: Prices of almost all grades of Chrome ore of Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) dropped in the e-auction held on 6 Jan, 2014. While the 54+ grade friable Chrome prices for the inside state quota dropped by 9.18% to INR 12,664/MT, which was INR 13,945/MT in the previous e-auction in December.
On the other hand, friable Chrome ore prices for the outside state quota dropped slightly by 3.77% to INR 12,264/MT , which was INR 12,745/MT in the previous e-auction.
About 73,300 MT of friable & 6,000 MT of Concentrate Chrome ore was on offer. The base price of 54+ friable Chrome ore concentrate was fixed at INR 11,964/MT and for 52-54 the base price is INR 11,521/MT. The base price of 40-38 grade concentrate Chrome ore was fixed at INR 7,623/MT and for 44-42 grade it is fixed at INR 8,385/MT.
Among the inside state buyers, JSL, Rohit Ferrotech & VISA have managed to get highest allotments of 24,100 MT, 10,400 MT & 8400 MT respectively. Similarly, among the outside state buyers Rohit Ferrotech (Bishnupur), Tirumala Balajee & Shri Vasavi, are in the top positions to get allotments of 7,000 MT, 6,100 MT & 4,700 MT respectively.
