India: OMC Chrome Ore E-Auction Receives Moderate Response

In the April round of e-Auction, conducted by Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) on 04 Apr’19 received a moderate response in line with low demand in the market. The entire quantity offered for e-Auction was booked with no residual quantity left. The entire quantity of friable chrome ore and lumps received bids at an average of about the same as the base price offered.

OMC offered a total of 34,200MT Friable Chrome Ore for auction. The total quantity offered was from South Kaliapani Mines. The bid received for the Friable Ores are in the range of INR11939 – 12039/MT for +54% grade, INR 10959 – 11059/MT for 52-54% grade, and INR 7657 – 7857/MT for 44-46% grade.
