Bhubaneswar: Chrome ore prices of Odisha Mining Corporation have declined significantly across all the grades in the e-auction held on 07 Apr, 2014. The fall in Chrome prices is being attributed to weak Chinese demand of Ferrochrome.
For the inside state buyers the +54 grade Chrome ore price has corrected by 17.4% to INR 11,879/MT from INR 14,392/MT in the previous month. Similarly, price of 52-54 grade has also declined by about 18% to INR 11,443 from INR 13,941/MT in the previous month.
On the other hand, prices of +54 grade Chrome ore has remain almost flat at INR 14,579/MT for the outside state buyers (the March price was INR 14,092/MT). Meanwhile, the 52-54 grade price has decreased by 10% to INR 13,543/MT. Chrome ore concentrate prices has also declined across all the grades.
Among state based buyers JSL has got an allocation of 19,900 MT, VISA 4,700 MT, Shaym Metallics 3,000 MT and Rohit Ferrotech 8,300 MT. Similarly, among the outside buyers, Metcore has got an allocation of 4,600 MT and Sribasavi 4,100 MT.
