OMC’s South Kaliapani and Sukrangi mines had a fairly positive response to its chrome ore auction today. Only 21% (17,800t) of the total quantity of 84,400t were booked at the floor price. The Chrome Ore Beneficiation Plant accounted for the sale of most of the low-grade materials. End users were distant due to weak demand of ferro chrome and increase in chrome ore prices.
