In the November round of Chrome Ore auction, OMC received an overwhelmingly strong response, as the entire quantity of friable chrome ore and lumps received bids at an average of about 22% above the base price. This is despite the current lacklustre Ferro Chrome market.
State-owned, Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) recently conducted the e-auction, in which the quantity offered was 38,955 MT chrome ore. Out of which 32,500 MT are friable ore, 5,725 MT hard lump and 730 MT are Chips.
The company has offered the quantity 31,100 MT from South Kalapani chromite mines, 1,400 MT from Sukrangi Chromite Mines and 6,455 MT from Bangur Mines.
The bid received for the friable ores are are in the range of of INR 16,314-16,514/MT for +54% grade, INR 15,387-15,587/MT for 52-54% grade, INR 13,911/MT for 48-50% grade, INR 12,507-12,607/MT for 46-48% grade, INR 11,394-11,494/MT for 44-46% grade and INR 11,462/MT for 42-44%.
