OMC’s chrome ore auction from its South Kaliapani and Sukrangi chromite mines in Odisha received a favourable response today. Out of 84,500t, approximately 50,400t were booked at a premium of INR 2,200-5,400/t for various grades and lots. Due to high demand and a rise in ferro chrome prices, high-grade material (52-54%) was booked at a 35% premium over the base price.
