State-owned chrome ore miner Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) received poor response at its chrome ore auction today. The base price had been increased by 8%, m-o-m, despite falling ferro chrome prices. Ferro chrome smelters have been witnessing dull demand from the domestic and exports markets. The auction saw only 2,700 t of material getting booked at the base price, while the rest was left unsold due to the high base prices.
