Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) Chrome ore prices remain unchanged in the recently concluded e-auction, signalling a not much encouraging movement in the demand front. However, the state run miner has claimed that the entire amount on offer was sold out.
There was total 82,300 tonnes of sized chrome ore on offer and out of that 65,700 tonnes was from the South Kaliapani mines and 16,600 tonnes was from the Sukrangi mines. Of the 65,700 tonnes, 46000 tonnes was earmarked for the state based parties and rest 19700 tonnes was for outside the state parties, according to 70:30 ration rule. Similarly of the 16,600 tonnes of Chrome ore from the Sukrangi mines 11,600 tonnes was earmarked for state based buyers and rest 5,000 tonnes was earmarked for outside buyers.
On the other hand there was 12,700 tonnes of Chrome concentrates was on offer. The H1 prices of different grades of sized chrome ore are given below.

Allotments
The Jindal Stainless ltd (JSL) has been allotted 25,000 tonnes from the state quota. Similarly Navbharat and Rohit ferrotech have been allotted 10,000 tonnes and 12,500 tonnes respectively from the state quota. The other companies who have got allotments are VISA( 4000 tonnes) and Javamayi (2000 tonnes).
From outside the state quota, Shyam Ferro has got 5400 tonnes,Rohit Ferro has got 7700 tonnes and Tirumala Balaji 5000 tonnes and Sri Vasavi has got 10,500 tonnes of allotment.
