Sponge iron prices In Rourkela increased by INR 500/t on 9 Dec’21. SteelMint’s assessment for sponge iron C-DRI (70% lumps & 30% fines) stands at INR 29,550/t. A total of 2,000 t of deals were confirmed at INR 29,500-29,600/t exw Rourkela. Steel billet prices, which rose by INR 650/t today, kept sponge iron prices supported, SteelMint learnt from sources.
