SteelMint’s assessment for sponge iron, C-DRI (70% lumps & 30% fines) stands at INR 30,300/t ($403/t), up by INR 300/t on 23 Dec’21.
About 1,400 t of deals were confirmed at INR 30,000-30,500/t exw-Rourkela today. Rise in steel billet prices, which increased by INR 250/t, d-o-d, exw-Rourkela have kept sponge iron prices supported.
