Sponge iron prices In Rourkela fell by INR 750/t on 22 Oct’21. Sponge iron C-DRI (FeM 80%, mix material) stands at INR 35,250/t. A total of 1,500 t of deals were confirmed at INR 35,000-35,300/t exw. Coal prices have dropped by around INR 2,500/t at Gangavaram Port in the last four days. Most furnace owners are holding buying, with sponge prices having come under pressure.
