Sponge iron prices in Rourkela fell by INR 100/t on 19 Aug’21. SteelMint’s assessment for sponge iron C-DRI (FeM 80%, mix 70:30) stands at INR 33,000/t exw-Rourkela. A total of 2,200 t of deals were confirmed today. According to sources, demand remained limited given the sluggish trends in the billet and sponge iron market in Odisha.
