India: Odisha merchant miners report 64% fall in Apr-Jun iron ore despatches

Iron ore despatches by Odisha merchant miners contracted to 7.6 mn t in Q1 FY21 from 22.16 mn t in Q4 FY20. Despatches by Rungta Mines decreased to 1.6 mn t in the first quarter compared to 6.12 mn t in Q4 FY20. Likewise, despatches from Serajuddin and OMC slumped by 2.48 mn t and 1.86 mn t respectively.
