Odisha – India’s largest iron ore producing state recorded production for the month at 8.34 MnT down 11% amid monsoon, as against 9.39 MnT in Aug’19, according to the provisional data of Odisha Govt. maintained by SteelMint. The figures include the type of material – fines, lump, and concentrate.
In Q2 FY’20 (Jul-Sept’19) Odisha iron ore production decreased sharply by 21% to 28.38 MnT as against last Quarter (Apr-Jun’19) at 35.88 MnT.
Rungta Mines – India’s largest private merchant miner produced 1.62 MnT iron ore in Sept’19. The production recorded decreased sharply by 17% on monthly basis against 1.96 MnT in Aug’19.
Serajuddin mines production recorded 11% down to 1.27 MnT in Sept’19 as compared to 1.42 MnT a month ago.
Tata Steel’s iron ore production stood at 1.09 MnT (increased marginally by 3%) and SAIL at 0.50 MnT (down 27%) for Sept’19.
Essel Mining and Industries’ iron ore production for the month stood at 0.74 MnT, almost stable on monthly basis against 0.78 MnT in Aug’19. The miner has been continuously increasing its production at its Jilling Langalota mines after it received permission from Supreme Court in Feb’18.
