Odisha – India’s largest iron ore producing state recorded dispatches at 5.98 MnT in June’18. The dispatch stood stable on monthly basis as against 6.05 MnT in May’18. The figures exclude movement for export and dispatches of captive miner- SAIL & Tata Steel.
The rake availability issues prevailing in eastern India has affected the iron ore dispatches from Odisha.
Odisha dispatches in June’18 depicted stability on yearly basis as compared to June’17 dispatches at 5.91 MnT.
However, on quarterly basis, the total dispatches marked increase of 5% in Q1 FY’19 at 17.31 MnT as against Q4 FY’18 at 16.45 MnT.
Rungta Mines iron ore dispatches increased marginally in June’18
Amongst Odisha’s merchant iron ore mines – Rungta Mines, India’s largest private merchant miner, dispatched the highest quantity of iron ore at 1.99 MnT in June’18. The dispatch stood up slightly by 4% as against 1.91 MnT in May’18.
KJS Ahluwalia recorded dispatches at 0.45 MnT (down 27% M-o-M), followed by Kaypee Enterprises at 0.43 MnT (down 10% M-o-M) and Serajuddin at 0.42 MnT (up 17% on monthly basis).
Dispatches from Essel Mining, AMTC and SN Mohanty have depicted increase in June’18 iron ore dispatches. RP Sao depicted significant increase to 0.20 MnT (up by around thrice M-o-M).
OMC, state-owned miner recorded dispatches at 0.81 MnT in June’18, depicting fall of 11% as against 0.91 MnT in May’18.
