Odisha’s Directorate of Mines has ordered suspension of iron ore dispatches from the Jaribahal iron ore block in Keonjhar district, as per SteelMint reports.
- The Joint Director of Mines, Joda Circle, has intimated Kashvi International Pvt Ltd that the mineral samples collected from stacks at the company’s Jaribahal iron ore block do not match the grade for which permission has been obtained.
- The stacked iron ore is of higher grade and 10-15% bigger in size than iron ore fines for which dispatch permission has been granted.
- Kashvi had won the block at the auctions last year by promising to pay a premium of 150%.
