The Odisha government’s Directorate of Mines has declared that captive lessees in the state, that have been granted leases through auction, are not allowed to sell 25% of the material produced in the previous financial year in the merchant market, as per the latest government order accessed by SteelMint. Moreover, the material already sold by these lessees shall not be considered for calculating minimum production and dispatch targets of these lessees under MDPA.
