India: NTPC to auction around 5,100 t of melting scrap from Angul plant

India’s major state-owned power producer NTPC Ltd has scheduled an auction for 5,171 t of mix melting scrap (mild steel scrap, ms pipes, structures, cast iron scrap) from its Talcher Super Thermal Power Plant located in Angul, Odisha. The auction is scheduled for 19 Aug’22. Melting scrap HMS (80:20) prices in Raipur, Chhattisgarh stand at INR 44,500/t DAP, as per SteelMint assessment.
