Indian government has directed NTPC to restart operations at Chhattisgarh-based SKS Power’s plant (which is under insolvency since Apr’22) to help curb power shortages. Following this, the company has resumed operations at the first 300 MW unit and another 300 MW unit will be restarted in a month. The plant has 25 years of fuel supply agreement with South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL).
